Pioneering G.hn Wave-1 Communication for Reliable High-Speed Data over Power Lines
The LineWave 1000 is a compact industrial modem designed for reliable data transmission over DC power lines up to 48V, utilizing cutting-edge G.hn Powerline Communication (PLC) technology. Engineered for compatibility with other modems, it efficiently supports branch and mesh network configurations, optimizing connectivity in challenging environments.
This modem operates seamlessly across a wide temperature range (-40°C to +85°C) in a compact, low-profile form factor (86mm x 68 mm). With high data transfer rates and both Fast and Gigabit Ethernet ports for direct server connectivity, the LineWave 1000 is ideal for industrial applications that demand stable, high-speed communication over existing power infrastructure.

The LineWave 1000 provides adaptable data rates depending on the distance between nodes along each branch. At typical distances under 100 meters, data rates range from approximately 600 Mbps to 400 Mbps.
For distances exceeding 300 meters, speeds may decrease to around 150 Mbps. This flexibility enables high-performance applications such as video transmission, where each camera node can support up to two video cameras.
In order to avoid the attenuation on the data rate of the different branches, it is important to implement a LineWave Filter in the powerline for each branch created.
Each filter will isolate the branch data transmission, avoiding interfering with others. The filter should be installed upstream since the branch data transmission will be seen for the rest of the branches.


With a bandwidth allocation of 83 Mbps per device when multiplexed across all nodes, that each device can support depending on the quality in which it is transmitted:
- Up to 3-4 streams of 4K video at 30 fps or one 4K stream at 60 fps.
- Between 8-10 Full HD (1080p) streams at 30 fps or 7-8 streams at 60 fps.
- Between 25-50 HD (720p) streams at 30 fps or 12-25 streams at 60 fps.
This versatility allows each branch, with up to 14 interconnected devices, to handle a substantial number of high-quality video streams, making the LineWave 1000 ideal for applications requiring extensive video coverage and high-speed data transmission. Node distribution within each branch can be adjusted to suit specific application requirements, optimizing performance across distances.
